Rowenta for at home, not for traveling

Bought to replace an old tourist steamer. The same steamer concept but with a trigger switch to inconveniently spray steam. Too heavy to pack and big. I mainly use it on t-shirts and summer fabrics, but works well on synthetic fabrics.

Pros
  • Everyone likes it so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works well but too big and heavy for travelling.

The steamer works very well. Dual voltage is a great feature. However, it is too big and heavy for travel, especially if you only take hand luggage with you. It would be ideal if it were smaller and lighter. If you're looking for a travel steamer, don't buy it. Despite the word "journey" in the title, it's not compact enough and I'm willing to return it.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Works great to a halt

I have had this product for about two years using it once or twice a week. I pulled it out to use one day and it didn't produce any vapor. The head warmed up normally, the light bulbs lit up, but there was no steam. I've tried cleaning it to no avail. It's something like the third Rowenta product I've bought that expired without warning having worked well. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Very expensive

Exactly what I was looking for!

Used for the first time when I was driving and packing a large suitcase. I steamed a few sweaters and shirts that were folded and not running out of water. Couldn't be happier, I'd even pack lighter to fit in a smaller suitcase when flying, but that might be an issue because it's not tiny. However, what is it for? I don't think you would want it much lighter or smaller because it wouldn't be as functional or as high quality as it is now. I also had to hook it up to the bathroom and stick it out

Don't rely on this device alone

It's good for simple lines and designs, but you can't take a crumpled shirt out of the dryer and hope it works. It will not. You can't rely on it for cuffs or collars or other stitches that aren't very easy (like ironing the armpits of a shirt or down the sides of a pair of pants). It's good for traveling but you need to get your shirts mended. before you go and only use it for fine tuning. :(It works fine on cotton and linen, but I wouldn't risk it on silk or wool. And when vaping, it makes a…
