05/02/18: Superb quality - white checked damask cotton fabric with brown edging around the edges. Cozy, warm and heavy. Not quite comparable to down, but I'm sick of my old comforter shedding micro-lint all over my bedroom, so I'm pretty happy with the synthetic fill.
