We gave it to my mother for Christmas. She liked the colors but 3 of the crayons were broken when she received them. Not sure if this could have been prevented or not given their fragility.

This chalk is really hard, not as smooth as some of the cheaper brands I've used. More comes off the hands than on the paper, it's badly shaded. Not worth the money compared to cheap Michaels shop bands or amateur lobbies.

This student quality hard pastel was difficult to work with. When I added another layer of color, the bottom layer was erased. I used pastel paper so I don't think the paper was the problem. Soft pastel colors are more expensive, but they are also more expensive.

I have these for shading/coloring my polymer clay charms. what I like. They are also very very pigmented! I recommend these soft pastels!

Whether you like the quality of these pastels really depends on what you use them for, but I think these pastels are very good to work with of miniatures and models . The choice of earth tones is spot on for this use. If you're a good artist putting them on paper or some other substrate, you'll probably be a little disappointed as these are classroom colored pencils.
