Good choice for modeling models and miniatures with colored pencils

Whether you like the quality of these pastels really depends on what you use them for, but I think these pastels are very good to work with of miniatures and models . The choice of earth tones is spot on for this use. If you're a good artist putting them on paper or some other substrate, you'll probably be a little disappointed as these are classroom colored pencils. But if you're using them as weathering or aging pigments, they're great. You scrape the surface of the crayon with a knife or sandpaper, make a small mound of pigment, dip it in a dry brush and apply the crayon to your miniature. After application, it is up to you whether you fix the chalk with a flat spray. They are excellent for this purpose and this is a great choice of colors for weathering.
