Very good product and definitely protects the compass/inclinometer as described. Only gave 4 stars because it takes a lot of effort to install on the device and if you need to change the declination setting on the compass you need to remove it from this case.

I'm on the roofs all year round and this cover definitely did the job. The case makes it a little bulkier and helps when wearing gloves. The rubber also prevents slipping when wet. Of course it's not so easy to put it back in the case with the Suunto, but with a little ingenuity it's possible. Costs money.

It starts fine from the compass but gets stuck midway due to a compass shape change or a bug in the case design. I ended up lowering it all the way, but it stretched the round holes and didn't allow the eyepieces to be used the way I wanted. The compass comes with a fabric carry case. I would stick with it if anyone needs a compass.

If you have a Suunto tandem compass you will want to keep it safe considering how much you are spending on it. It does an excellent job of protecting a great tool. When working with a Suunto compass you will end up dropping it on a hard surface, so this offers some protection against impact. My only wish is that they make a larger pannier bag as the combination of compass and profile in the Suunto bag offers real compression.
