Like most things these days, this food isn't what it used to be. Every manufacturer seems to want to cut corners and make things cheaper. I have several of these sets from 15 years ago. these new ones are SIGNIFICANTLY thinner, more flexible, and have ill-fitting lids. Worse, these lids won't work with older items, defeating the purpose of buying them in the first place. Very disappointed!

I have used them in the past and they have worked well. However, the labels of this order cannot be removed. After spending 20 minutes peeling them off with my nails, I gave up! Each container has two labels; The smaller one peels off easily while the larger one cannot be peeled off. (It tears but gets stuck). I want to get a refund for an order I just placed on GooGone; I hope it removes the labels.

I had to scrape and scrape the labels to remove them and even then they left marks. This residue eventually spread throughout the dishwasher, forcing me to throw out most of the dishes, some cutlery, and bowls. It even clogged the dishwasher filter and I had to buy a new one because the residue wasn't removed. I've tried 409, Lysol, Windex, rubbing alcohol, bleaching gel, grease remover. Nothing worked. Also, the lids are too tight and get tighter when it's hot. Imagine trying to open a lid…

We ordered a 7 cup container with 'easy to find' lids that fits all of our other Rubbermaid 7 cup containers. We received 7 cup containers with vented lids. You wouldn't think this would be a problem, but vented lids don't fit all other Rubbermaid 7-cup containers. For some reason they don't have a standard sized 7 cup container where any lid would fit on any container.
