Firm and strong pitcher than flowing

I have two of these and they both lick a little. This is a simple fix - just add a slightly thicker o-ring on the top so the top fits the jug better. Just like this one. It is understandable that no one in the company uses their own product as it is easy to fix.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • too blunt

Top Leaking on the sides

I have two of these jars and they both leak on the side of the lids. I bought a second one thinking I might have melted the seal in the dishwasher or something, but like the first one, the lid leaks when I tilt the jug slightly to get it off the fridge door shelf. I gave it 2 stars because I still use it and just have to wipe down the floor next to the fridge when I get something to drink.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No performance

Great for any gallon of liquid or dry cereal

This container will keep a gallon of iced tea cold and ready to use in the fridge. The jug is compact enough to store in the fridge door if you wish. Easy to keep clean in the dishwasher. Dry porridge can also be poured here - simply unscrew the lid and pour out the flakes. Keeps cereal much fresher than in the box

Pros
  • There's Something Inside
Cons
  • There's Something Wrong

The rubber seal works great! No leaks!

I've always used this when hiking. The fridge doesn't run out on the go. I like that you can just shake the sugar and go. I've had my current one for years and have noticed that the sealant is finally starting to fade. The two new ones I bought, one for camping and one for home, seem to have the same large seal as my old one.

Pros
  • I'll keep my fingers crossed
Cons
  • No automatic

The easiest and best way to clean

It is convenient to store homemade iced tea in it. The easiest way to clean the inside of a pitcher, including the handle: Mix a cup or two of hot tap water, a drop or two of dish soap, and a tablespoon of hard, raw rice grains in a pitcher. Unscrew the lid, grasp the handle and shake it up and down for a minute or two. Hard grains of rice will scratch the inside of the pot, including the handle. Rinse with hot water when done. This cleaning method keeps both of my pitchers clean after monthsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are chores

The only caveat is that you cannot clean the inside of the handle!

From what I understand Rubbermaid needed a better 1 gallon jug when they made this style! I first bought my two at Walmart for a lot less money. You are gone. I'm afraid they don't make them anymore, so if you like them, grab them quick! There are only two mistakes. First, the pouring cap fails after more than 100 openings and keeps falling, preventing the drink from coming out! Second, unless you have a magic brush on a long wire, you can't clean the inside of the pen! However, I love thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

what a pitcher. best in kitchen and dining room

Bought 6 of these - after 2 years I'm still on the first 2. We use them to make tea - add 3 Lipton Family Size tea bags and the hottest water addition we can get from the tap. Let sit on the counter for 3 hours and then pop it in the fridge โ€“ perfect. The spout closes well, as does the lid. These things spend half their time in the dishwasher (we drink a gallon of tea a day and alternate 2 pitchers) and they still work great. One of them gets a little dirty with "tea" and it's difficult to hitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • cord shorter than others

Cleaning the inside handle

Like all the negative reviews, this jug is difficult to clean. The handle turned brown after repeated servings of iced tea. My wife was able to get her hand in but couldn't get the bottle brush on the handle with enough force to clean it. He went into the garden to distribute rainwater. I took a 2 foot piece of string and tied a small nut to one end. The other end was tied to the corner of a small rag. The size of the inner handle I fished the nut through the handle and back out of the holeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
