Rumpus - Great Product; Excellent Support

I love that Rumpus is secure and easy to use with a friendly community forum to help resolve user issues. Nothing really - it's a great product for what you need. It would be helpful if there was more documentation around how you can customize your rumpus sites. The fact that they don't have their own dedicated support service - which many companies provide- makes me wonder about their commitment to this product. We're solving the problem of keeping large libraries within our organization, but…

Pros
  • Very intuitive when logging into site once downloaded & installed by IT department staff members.
  • Secure document storage option available thru web interface (rftf) where only those listed may view docuemnt contents via password assigned specifically per file/folder created upon upload
Cons
  • Some little things

RPM is good alternative file transfer tool

The interface of rpms are easy to use, not much configuration needed for basic usage as long you have some knowledge about linux system administration basics (like package management). You can also install it in your local computer if there's no internet connection available at that time which makes me think its too complicated compared with other options out here like dropbox or google drive etc.. I don't really find anything bad so far but maybe i'm missing something since this service has…

Pros
  • It provides seamless file storage & sync across all 3 platforms
  • Linux server / OSX client / Windows PC even though we do know DropBox is already offering these features before any cloud software had ever launched into mainstream industry today!
Cons
  • Can easily get overwhelmed by their pricing model where only enterprise accounts will enjoy free upgrades from 1GB up
