Camping and Hiking First Impression

I bought this to replace my original camel back and to complement my new camera ready backpack. After washing through a few fills, the first few sips had a somewhat plasticky aftertaste that seems to have dissipated. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's a slightly different size than the original Camel Back, but looks like it would fit perfectly in my original backpack. Love the new fill hole and hanging hooks. Seems to be well made and the price was very good.

Lots of little annoyances

Bite valve provides slow hydration. Also the plastic taste in the water. Looked like a decent blister although the lid cord fell off on first use. What is the use if the cap is not tied to the bladder? Also, the hose attaches to the bladder with a threaded connector rather than a nipple or quick connect. Due to the bag's tight fit, you'll need a small adjustable wrench to fully tighten it. The bag was returned due to a number of these annoyances that made it a mediocre product. Solve all the…

Great bubble if only they could find a way not to alter the taste of the water inside.

Used this in the Arizona desert for 2 weeks and it worked great and lasted all day. The only reason I'm not rating it 5 stars is because I ordered a bubble that doesn't contain any dangerous chemicals but still changes the taste of the water giving it a rubbery taste. If they could fix this issue it would be a total of 5 stars. I flushed this blister a few times and even used some dish soap and hot water after about a week to see if I could get rid of that gummy taste. Unfortunately nothing…

So strong that this thing has been covered quite a bit.

It was a beautiful and durable balloon. No leaks, easy to clean, has survived serious damage. The whole family went camping for a week. I bought two 3 liter tanks and each came fully packed in backpacks which also contained a 3 person tent, an axe, cooking utensils, fishing gear and many other heavy survival items.
