Durable and useful, ideal for outdoor activities

Small enough to fit in your backpack, the SOL Rescue Blanket is really practical. It is more durable and tear-resistant than other Mylar blankets. It really keeps the heat inside when used properly and can be used as a support for your tent or even as a dry surface to sit on when the ground is wet.

Pros
  • Safety and Survival
Cons
  • Easily Crumpled

Affordable Rescue Blanket

I bought these to keep in our cars in case we get into an accident or a stuck car and passengers like an elderly person or a small child need warmth - we'd have something to offer. Same idea for the few water bottles we keep in hot weather. I would definitely throw one in a daypack to keep "just in case" for uses like collecting water, an alarm, or an actual blanket. They are a bit bigger and thicker than the cheap ones.

Pros
  • Rescue Blanket
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Made in China - Rescue Blankets

I've never used one of these but I had a hand a few years ago. I liked the fact that it is made from a more durable material than cheaper space blankets and is made in the USA. However, I did notice that the packaging of the four I ordered from Revain looked a little odd and realized they were made in China. These are not fakes. After a bit of research, it turned out that the company must have decided it was best to make them in China. I'm disappointed because this is another good product, not…
