is mine and it worked great. Speeds were very good, but you lose something with USB: 1.1 GB/s read and 280 MB/s sustained write, as tested on my i7-8800 with native USB 3.1 on the motherboard with Gnome Partition benchmark drives . I was hoping for faster writes (the drive itself is rated at 1.8GB/s sustained write speed), but 280MB/s is pretty damn fast for removable media, especially considering there were none even after a few GB of writes noticeable drop. . - my new travel companion - damn…

Lightning over USB 3.0 and 3.1 gen2 but a bit clunky and clunky.

When tested with a Samsung NVME SSD connected to USB 3.0 and 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, sequential read and write speeds were 440 MB/s and 970 MB/s, respectively. The performance was definitely impressive. It also kept the NVME drive cool all the time. I've also found that the Type-C adapter that came with the cable doesn't work and can cause the drive to hang in Windows when trying to recognize the drive when plugged into any Type-C port connected to my PC, including via NVIDIA. RTX graphics…

Incredible case, dubious USB-C adapter. Read more

I bought a 1TB Crucial NVMe M.2 SSD (https://amzn.to/2MFKRCl) and paired it with this Sabrent chassis. The case is very well made and has a certain weight since it is an all-aluminum construction. Installing the drive couldn't be simpler and neater. The rubber feet on the bottom have excellent slip resistance, and the included USB-A to USB-C cable with USB-A/C adapter is good. HOWEVER, I wish it came with two separate cables instead of an adapter, and here's why: After installing a Crucial 1TB…

Update: OK on USB 3.0, unstable on 3.1

Update: I'm deducting a star because I've tested two of these cases with two different brands of SSD and they both show the same nasty behavior . They're very reliable when plugged into a USB 3.0 port (aka USB 3.1 Gen 1) and I can leave them plugged into a computer indefinitely. However, when plugged into a USB 3.1 Gen 2 (aka "true 3.1") port, they randomly turn off after 15 to 30 minutes. It doesn't matter if it's a USB-C or -A port, they show the same instability. It's a little frustrating…

Very nice and solid case : TOO MANY VINE REVIEWS

Very nice and solid case. I use it with Samsung 970 EVO PLUS. There are many reviews of this product on VINE. Normally, if a product is really good, it should have a lot of USER reviews (not Vine). Vine users are sponsored for feedback. It doesn't matter if they are impartial, they are not regular users who come to Amazon to buy the product in question, so their ratings/usages are different from regular users who come to Amazon looking for a specific product.
