Doesn't work with Macbook Pro M1 2020 with macOS Big Sur

USB flash drive keeps switching between connected and disconnected states. The finder sees the drive, the file folder can be opened to view files, but the drive turns off when reading and writing files. Seems to work on a Windows 10 PC. Come back.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Available in black only

Close sometimes fails - Details

This works great on my Samsung Note 10+ and works most of the timer with Windows 10. Barely works on Windows 7 - I'd like to use this to run some PCs -Capturing files from W7 and putting them on a new laptop, but for now this only works for a few files at a time (I'm using a 128GB card).

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Style 90

Great device for multiple platforms

Works as promised! I liked that not only does it support SD cards of different sizes, but I can use it in several different ports. I can take it from my new Mac which only has USB 3 and go straight to my old Mac or Win laptop. This is a great device that I would recommend to anyone using multiple platforms for computing.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Never leave home without this!

I always carry my camera with my phone and being able to take the camera SD card with me and connect it to my phone via USB-C to upload photos and videos to Instagram and Youtube is awesome! In my experience, files transfer faster over SD than Micro SD. So if you have a Micro SD adapter I would recommend using that.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Universal card reader

This card reader surprised me. Was looking for something portable and versatile enough to work on new laptops with USB-C ports and older devices with regular USB. This fits the bill. It's fairly compact and well built. Made of high-quality plastic? Only used briefly to transfer some pictures from an SD card and worked like any other USB 3 card reader. I will post updated performance results soon.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Frequent crashes when writing medium files on Android (USB-C)

I love the design and build quality of the Sabrent USB-C/USB card reader. It's the only USB-C card reader that's truly "case-friendly". The problem I'm having is that when using USB-C to connect to an Android device (Samsung Tab S4, Note 8 and LG V20), writing files fails halfway through. . This happens almost every time medium sized (i.e. > 100MB) files are written. A 100MB file is not a large file by today's standards. other brand usb-c otg card readers, file copy works well with the sameโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of good stuff
Cons
  • No performance
