We were at the recent Napa earthquake and I ordered this for a neighbor to secure a new TV she was due to buy. If you live in California and have a big screen TV, just buy one. It saves us.

Very easy to install. Bought for an unstable planar monitor bought here at Revain. Used another on TV and will buy two more. This became mandatory after a magnitude 3.9 earthquake in mid-September. It was easy to make and the glue is strong enough. Excellent goods.

Not cheap but you will get your money's worth. It is made of high quality material and very easy to install. I use glue on the back so no drilling is required here. The reason I prefer this to others is how easy it is to adjust the tension and take it off when needed.

These straps literally didn't work as advertised. It took forever to attach and then when my husband checked it fairly carefully, one side immediately came off. We put them in with the intention of keeping our TV safe from children, but they're definitely not strong enough to be safe.

This is probably the best way to ensure your TV doesn't fly out of the entertainment center during an earthquake. You need very little skill to attach them to your TV and the surface it sits on as they come with adhesive pads. If you're more experienced, you can also attach the straps to the cabinet below with screws.

That's a great company! We installed latches for their cabinets and now these earthquake proof TV mounts. Both are quality products. Installation on these TV tapes was easy and safe. The company was thoughtful enough to include alcohol wipes to clean the surfaces and screws to secure (for an extra sense of security). We didn't use screws because the adhesive felt strong enough, but it was nice to have screws just in case.
