Worked when tried upon receipt. I never had to use it. Now when I charge it while hiking after 2 months of wearing it, it doesn't turn green to indicate it's already fully charged after an hour and it doesn't turn red to indicate it's still charging. It's dead and useless except for a mini flashlight. What an expensive flashlight!

In fairness, the product fully corresponds to the description. I thought 130dB would be louder than it actually is. Although noisy, it would be less effective if all the windows were closed when walking down the street. As I found out later, the decibel values have different "heights”. I was expecting a higher tone than this. So if you're looking for a high pitched scream this isn't it but again this is just my opinion.

I work nights and take long walks to my car in the dark so I purchased this item. It's definitely loud enough to draw attention, but when I hang it on my keychain (which it's for), it easily pulls out and starts to get in the way. This happened several times while he was just lying quietly in my coat pocket. I wish it was a little harder to pull to fix this. Still, I feel more confident, even though the pin comes loose from time to time.

Received and charged today. Quite noisy and the light is bright enough. Great that you don't have to change batteries, the last one (from another manufacturer) had to be exchanged for batteries for 6.79 within 6 months. The only downside is that the instructions (which are just printed on the box) don't mention that there is a red light that turns off when the device is fully charged. Luckily I read everything on the site where I ordered it. and knew it.
