I bought the North Face Sihl Mids and Columbia Newton II boots before trying these running shoes because I couldn't find the perfect fit. I usually wear 13 in my Nikes/Adidas/etc. but TNF Sihl were very large and Columbia didn't fit either. I finally found a half size (12.5) and waited 4 days for it to arrive here in Chattanooga. After more than six months and 537 miles I've decided to give up these shoes. The first problem was the spikes sticking out in front. I didn't think they would be a problem but on my second try I nearly tripped when they caught on a rock. I took them home and cut off the spines with a hacksaw. Update 01/31/21: As much as I hate writing this update, I have to do it because the shoes definitely have design flaws. I am very disappointed, everything else about the boots seems excellent. I've detailed it below, and yet when such a significant area of wear and failure is found in less than two months with relatively light wear, it's almost all for nothing. So far so good. They fit great and are very comfortable when running and walking. Light on the feet. Easy to lace up and take off. They look great in B-class tactical pants and trousers. Easy to clean. I wish they had a high/mid top for ankle support.

Love the fit, great comfort, they are light and look good but what a disappointment with the lacing system. I'll admit this is my first pair of shoes, but I'm confused as to what to do with the long, dangling lace you left behind after tightening them. Needless to say, I cut this shit off and laced it up with regular laces. However, due to the plastic inserts in the eyelets, this is very difficult. Great sneakers but terrible lace design.

This will be my fourth pair of Salomon shoes that I own and they are fantastic. The raised steps provide an extra layer of cushioning and it feels like my feet are surrounded by pockets of gel. I ran 5 miles every day in preparation for my jog and I can't wait to try these shoes at dawn.

This is my second pair of Salomon shoes and by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I go hiking a lot and these are my new shoes. My feet breathe decently in them, no calluses yet, but it's not summer yet and my sweaty feet are struggling with it. I also like the quick way to tighten the laces, although some people complain about that, I don't know why, maybe they loosen up on it. I have never had a problem and will continue to buy the Salomon brand without hesitation.

They have more width in the toe box than the 4's. They're comfortable and true to size, unlike the Speedcross 4. These Supercrossers have a softer, probably less durable lining, but are very comfortable.

3 year ownership. Worst running shoes I've ever had. If the ground is wet, you can walk on ice regardless of the nature of the ground. The shoe is designed with the toe and heel sticking out enough to interfere with your natural ability to move without paying attention to where your feet are going, leaving you constantly kicking things and tripping over everything.
