Stops working after a few weeks

The device was very difficult to connect. The instructions for the color codes on the wires were wrong. The directions were terrible. The device stopped working after two weeks. It's a nice compact device with a lot of good features, I wish it wasn't so badly made.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A lot

Great little cluster. Lost the included pin making kit :(. No big deal, just soldered on. Cool kid, the instructions are a bit confusing but the customer service is awesome (: I just wish I had extra magnets with me. Lost one on a trip today :( Installed on Ninja 500. Update 2007. Received magnet from home storage, works. Great cluster <3

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Faulty

Difficult to install but great speedometer once you get the hang of it

Difficult to install but was known before the speedometer was bought. After a lot of cussing, abandoned tools, even more frustration, trial and error, I got it working and kept the settings I set for it. Works great for the money, be sure to get this instead of the same style for $25-$35. Will post an edit for a progress report in a few months.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some issues

great speedometer good for parts

firstly I'm not a regular bike mechanic, I'm a research engineer so I'm used to rewiring and modifying. Other than that, this is a great speedometer and the price makes it even better. Yes, it's a clone of a skew gauge, but for the price, it won't let you down. It requires some wiring modifications as it is universal, but once installed and calibrated it will give accurate readings and will work with any 12 volt system.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • frequency

Terrible circuit, didn't work at

Came damaged, dial cracked. I only noticed when connecting. The schematic colors didn't match at all judging by the placement of the wires on the connectors (and my bike's schematic). Everything is plugged in and the backlight wouldn't come on at all, the neutral light was controlled by the high beam, the check engine light was on all the time and that's why my taillights stayed on the ignition even without a key. This is triple checked with the wiring and double checked with the wiring diagram

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Out of service

Good for the price.

Fake obliquely, BUT, it works well and works. The LCD has an odd viewing angle, the straight image is very faint but tilted slightly away from you it is very clear and easy to see. 7 colors are good for night. The schematic is bad. how VERY bad. My book had stickers over the original text as "fix" and the diagram was still wrong so don't think it's easy to cut and swap, you have to check every wire. The speed sensor contained only 2 magnets and they were very weak, half the time the sensor…

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
