The funny thing is that almost all the books are available.

It's funny that this entire book is available online for free, but this book is hard-coded (I think the pages are waterproof, someone tell me if I'm wrong). It's worth having a copy of this book on board if you don't have internet!

Excellent reference book

Very good book. Excellent illustrations and text. Figure on all types of ropes. My advice to anyone looking to splice one of the braided ropes is to purchase an appropriately sized rope for your rope diameter. Last comet, go to the Samson U-Tube channel and type in the type of rope you want to splice and they have a video (the video speaks for itself).

Excellent reference book

This is a great resource to have on hand if you ever want to splice. I'm certainly no splicing expert, so I can't say with certainty that this book has everything you need, but it is 200 pages long and covers many methods of splicing a wide variety of rope types. It's small, about the size of a paperback book, but printed on the page in "landscape" orientation to help you keep things organized. It's also spiral bound so you can open and read while your hands are busy with the rope.
