I was looking for an inexpensive secondary monitor that rotates into portrait mode and it seemed to fit the bill. except that the screen is not good in portrait mode. Its "vertical" viewing angle is terrible, so colors and brightness change significantly when rotated as I move from side to side (which I often do). I should have expected that with a TN panel, but next time I'll probably pay more for IPS.

The viewing angle on this monitor is so narrow that you see color distortion at the outer edges even when looking straight at it.

I bought it to use as a second monitor because I'm a writer and it rotates to portrait which supports multiple large windows for my work.

It didn't connect to my computer via HDMI during setup, so I had to buy a VGA cable. Then, for the first month, a white pixel line ran vertically across the screen. Almost a year later, 8 lines remained. Colors and brightness are always more than a little wrong. I probably should have sent it back or replaced it, but then I wouldn't have a second monitor to work with. I wouldn't buy it again for your money let alone my own.

Colors seem a bit off next to my main monitor and I've played around with the settings a lot but can't get the saturation right. Used as a second monitor, it's pretty good. Be careful when you take it out of the box. There is a pin in the stand that holds the nib. When you let go of the pin, the stand pops out quickly, which can hurt if you're not prepared.

Walmart sells the best monitors for the same price and larger. does not work at all, even the home monitor has very large frames. bad colors, the maximum brightness is still very low, and the quality is cheap and poor. The box came out with the black plastic peeled off and the buttons look like they were just glued, very soft

Very good picture with no problems. Easy setup out of the box. Bright enough for well-lit rooms. Includes Displayport, VGA, and DVI connectors with enough room for easy plug-and-play connections. Very happy!

not the best, I want to change my second monitor. It's fine if you don't use it, but if you use it a lot. You'll get annoyed at how bad the glare is, it's sooooo annoying. You literally can't see anything.

I bought my son an extra monitor to expand his laptop. The display was nice and sharp and the resolution was good. Good price for a well known brand monitor.

I needed a second monitor to work from home on my MacBook. I rendered part of my screen on a Samsung monitor and the rest on my laptop. The secondary monitor was so hard to read and the colors were blurry. I could only view my emails on an additional monitor. I returned it within 2 days. For a secondary Mac monitor, I really needed something that cost over $300 and didn't want to pay for it.

Not to be used for gaming just need to replace the old monitor which is definitely smaller and thicker than I thought not worth the money.

This monitor is great for the money. It's certainly not the best deal out there, but it's exactly what it claims to be. I use it as a second monitor and it works fine. The picture is clear and with some adjustments to the settings the quality can be on par with a more expensive monitor.

This monitor fits the bill, it's extra wide and has an eye protection feature. I originally bought it to use vertically, but my software is written for horizontal use. All in all, this is a great monitor!

No power cord or DV cable was included. Luckily I have an old power cord. But for mowing I have to buy another cable. Crap! Monitors.

The monitor is excellent, high quality and well worth the discounted price I paid for it. The stand is solid, the rotation is really nice and overall I like the monitor both horizontally and vertically.

Too small so sent back but looks good, 19.9" long as advertised but not even 12" tall. The description says 16.7": a big difference!

Been using it as a second monitor for a few months now, for some reason it's not showing at full resolution anymore. There are no problems with the drivers, Windows is updated. He just accidentally decided to remove the 1920 x 1080 resolution option. Too bad as it's currently stuck at 1280x720, will try to return/exchange them.

As much as I love Samsung products, this monitor has a DVI connection that is about a decade behind the times. I had to buy a DVI to HDMI adapter to use it (they are inexpensive but I had to leave it overnight so we could use the monitor). It's only 22 inches, but my main monitor is 32 inches and I use 22 inches for email while I work on another. Aside from the lack of compatible ports, this is a standard $100 monitor.

Very happy with this monitor. This is great for our home office. But we had to buy an HDMI adapter for laptops. There was a cable, but it wasn't the right one.

I bought two (2) of these brand new from HP on Black Friday and got them both for $99. Yes, for $49.50 each! You are fantastic. These are true 1080P business monitors. You can still find them online for that price.
