📱 SAMSUNG 256GB MicroSD Evo Memory Card with Adapter - 100MB/s UHS-3 (MB-MP256GA/AM) Review

I'm using this in the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I've only had the phone (and this Samsung 128 Micro SD) for a month, but so far this card is working perfectly. A Boost Mobile employee recommended this card and I have no reason to doubt it's a worthy recommendation. In my opinion, all of these memory cards are grossly overpriced, but otherwise I have nothing to complain about.

After receiving this I put it to the test. The maximum speed w/r can only reach 16-15MB/s. This is a far cry from the 100MB/s read and 60MB/s write specification. Very poor performance. It is possible that this is a fake Chinese underground factory being sold on Revain.com. Don't buy this!

This is a fake SD card and not rewritable. I bought it for my dashcam when this memory card was full it stopped recording and gave an error, not enough space when I tried to format the SD card/delete old recordings and there was a write protect message, I checked the case of this micro SD card and it was not write protected. I think the problem is with the SD card, it's a fake and unwritable SD card.

I've been using this memory card in my GoPro 6 for a few months now. The speed in the device is great, no problem shooting at 4k 24fps (that's all, what I record). File copying is reasonable at around 89 MB/s. My Crystal Disk Mark test shows acceptable sequential performance (R95/W88 MB/s) when connected to the USB 3.0/uSD adapter I have. That's such a steal for 128GB of flash storage.

A window appeared on my phone saying the card is TOO SLOW to be used for internal drives. That should be U3. I uninstalled it and installed a 32GB Samsung card which I had with a U1 rating. The phone accepted it with no problem and it became part of the phone memory. I don't know if this card is defective or what but I am returning it as defective in order to get a refund from Revain.

Cool and very fast BUT buy the original from Revain and get protection. I bought 4 Samsung 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO memory cards from a Chinese seller on Ebay and they all arrived dead with bad sectors. Basically I lost my money and ebay and paypal couldn't protect me as it takes weeks to ship items from china after ebay and paypal restrictions expired.

All in all, 256GB of decent memory speed for $80 is a huge deal. (This is the purchase price I paid in mid-2018). However the first picture it shows is for 2 packs of 256GB and that is not what you will get. Another note: always make sure to download the memory checker app. on the device to ensure the seller doesn't send you overwritten storage capacity (e.g. an 8GB card that looks like 256GB on the device).
