The podcast will not play in sequence.

I was looking forward to 8GB capacity and a large music library, mostly audiobooks and podcasts to listen to. I used a 2GB MP3 player, but I needed more memory. Clip Sport randomly plays my podcast. I've tried labeling sections with numbers so they can be read in order, but it made no difference. I tried using letters at the beginning of each section but it didn't work. There was a software update that I hoped would fix this issue, but nothing has changed. I'm disappointed with this unit but I…

Ideal Gift: Portable audio and video device

giving Lime and Blue to two hard-to-find 20-year-olds. you love her They have an extra memory card to add more storage to them. I've also added a Caseling carrying case for the Sandisk Clip Jam / Sansa Clip Plus / Clip Sport MP3 player. - Apple iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle. - Black, which I gladly chose: these things are really tiny - smaller than I expected. The case adds just enough volume for you to keep an eye on and also holds the earbuds. The clip is also a great thing - they are used when…

The best alternatives to audiobooks.

I work in a noisy environment and don't like in-ear headphones. I use in-ear headphones with excellent sound isolation and the Sansa Clip Sport just doesn't put out as much volume as its predecessor, the Clip+, and yes I use PC software to increase the volume (MP3 Volumer). I like listening to audiobooks while I work, and again, the Sansa Sport doesn't quite do as well as the clip + positioning speed (back and forth). It's a lot slower with sports, and if you've got a 40-hour audiobook you'd…

Pros
  • Robust construction

  • Long delivery time

Doesn't play DRM-protected WMA audiobooks!

I downloaded an audio book from the library and it didn't show up anywhere in the index! Save them to the SD card first. You can then select and drag the files to the desired area in the Clip Sport player (with two windows open, one for the available device). You'll have to pay more than twice as much for a player that works with DRM-protected files! I'm pissed as hell and I can't take it anymore! Someone needs to develop an accessible library audiobook player! Design Limitations: β€’ The maximum

Average mp3 player, lower than previous clip players

This is an average mp3 player but not as good as previous iterations (I've had the clip+ and clip zip, both great players). I bought this for my girlfriend and it's fine for her intended purpose (easy to use cheap MP3) and it comes with decent flat band headphones with added rubber material. BUT even with the latest firmware it was complaining of freezing and general slowness every week. It even has a buggy, not-so-random shuffle mode (something that also bugged previous Zip players, but was…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good but has a limited lifespan

I've had several MP3 players over the years and found it reasonable that they should have a limited lifespan . Eventually the battery will stop holding a charge, but even before that the devices will likely behave strangely - I've been using the SanDisk Clip for about two years and it's worked fine for the most part, but in the last few months it's started to fail When plugged into a computer via USB, it either doesn't show up in the file manager at all, or appears for less than a second and…

Pros
  • Easy navigation on the go thanks to the large color LCD screen

  • I don't remember but there was something

Unfortunately this is the worst version of Sansa

This is about the 8th or 9th Sansa clip I have and the 4th or 5th designer version. Unfortunately, this is the worst version Sansa has made. Of course, mine may just be unlucky, but it looks worse built. One side of the clip broke pretty quickly and it's because of the clip that I bought it in the first place. The operation of this version seems terrible and slow. Half the time it took to turn it on or off compared to other versions was very tedious. I would have thought it was off or on, but…

Pros
  • Super light and comfortable clip

  • Big and bulky

Almost right, but about 30% more expensive for "fast ".

Benefits:* Plays a variety of formats including Ogg Vorbis and mp3* Access to USB storage so no special drivers required.* Small size* Light weight* Built-in clamp* Expandable memory* Wireless receiver for gym audio. Cons: * I bought for $40 which is too much considering the following cons. * The soft power button works fine in my pocket or bag and completely drains the non-removable battery, so I find my device dead when I want to use it. * The screen quality is terrible and I have to waste my
