Whichever Chinese company wrote the firmware for this device, they obviously offered the lowest price. The rather important random game feature is a total failure. I have over 2000 songs on the external card, but shuffle keeps playing 50 songs. You obviously have no idea how to write a pseudo-random number generator of even the slightest complexity. I'm basically staying here. The software for this thing really sucks. Before you think I'm just another complainer read my reviews, I've rarely been this negative. First (and this is my biggest complaint), you can't search by genre. The genre category does not appear in the menu at all. The menu options are Shuffle, Artists, Albums, Songs, and then Playlists (which is a joke, as explained below).
