📦 Rugged Case for SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD SDSSDE60 Series (250GB/500GB/1TB/2TB), Carrying Storage Bag - Not Compatible with SanDisk Extreme PRO SSD Review

The thickness of the SSD is about 0.3 inches, the thickness of the case is about 1.5 inches. So much space inside is completely unnecessary. However, the case is quite strong and soft, you could probably put an SSD in the case, play hockey with the case, and the SSD will not be damaged. Since the case is so cheap, I won't pay for the return postage, but it doesn't fit in the side pocket of my briefcase as intended, thus detracting from the value of the thin SSD.

Definitely strong. Just a little disappointed with the size in my bag as it looks flatter in the picture than the bubbles are in real life. I would give it a 4th star for that. The price could be a bit better for it, but it feels sturdy and the little padded/mesh pockets are perfect. I feel like I could give it up all day and everything would probably be fine. I assume it will stand up to my tough travels.

I've had this for a few months now and still love it. The external drive it's designed for has an adapter for non-USB-C ports, a cable, and apparently the hard drive itself. There are many similar cases for Sandisk Extreme SSD. I chose this one based on two factors: 1) Cheapest (some others are $1 or 2 more) 2) Has a bold red stripe (flash stuff is red) which makes it easy to distinguish my SSD case from all my to distinguish other black cases perfect for Sandisk SSD Extreme. I have another SanDisk SSD case and this is by far the best. The outer coating is durable while the inner plastic case is rigid. There is a soft lining inside and on the partition between the two parts. There is a mesh pocket on one side to keep the USB cable and adapter safe. In addition to the elastic band that holds the SSD in place, mine also has an additional band (not shown in the product photos) that you can place under the SSD for easier removal as it fits snugly. See photo for case size comparison. The problem with Design 1 is that it's so compact that it's really difficult to take out the SanDisk. However, if you put it in a case without an elastic, but above it, then the problem is solved. You can cut and remove the elastic strap that's supposed to hold the SanDisk if you like, as it doesn't really make much sense since the SanDisk is protected in a fully padded, tight, zippered case anyway. It is clear from the first touch and use that this is a good hard case. I'd probably end up giving it five stars for strength and durability, except I held the case in my hands for less than 24 hours. The only reason this case gets three stars instead of four is simply that, unlike most other hard shell cases designed for SanDisk SSDs, this case is not universally suitable for G-Drive SSDs.
