A very good radio for its intended users.

I actually bought this radio to give to my daughter. She is a special education teacher for the visually impaired in Georgia. I thought it would be a good study guide and would acquaint her students with its availability. The radio meets all my expectations and works very well. The voice prompts were clear and understandable, except for "search up," and it took me a while to understand what she was saying. The sound is very good and the volume is more than sufficient. Overall I'm very happyโ€ฆ

Lifebuoy for Visually Impaired Family Members - Works great and well designed

Update my rating to "5 Stars". At my home in New Jersey I have no reception without an antenna, but at my mother's house reception is excellent on all stations. This radio is ideal for visually impaired people. Thoughtful design and each button speaks out loud to tell you what it is and what it does. Ideal for those who cannot see. This will be life changing for the mum as she can now listen to 5 different FM stations without the hassle of reading clock faces. What's great is that it has a 60โ€ฆ

Now you can know where you are on the radio dial; that shouldn't be a problem anymore.

This is a well designed radio. I want to know where I am on the radio dial when I turn on the radio. This is particularly useful when searching for distant AM stations (called DX) at night. Speaking of DX, AM was pretty good... surprisingly good. In fact, it rivaled C. Crane's EP Pro and even came close to the CC Radio 2e, which has been my radio of choice for long-distance AM reception. I recommend you buy this radio if you have vision problems. and when, after turning on the radio, you wereโ€ฆ
