It came on time and worked well. Since they have disappeared from the world and very soon repair will be impossible. I bought a new one to replace an old one that had a bad VCR drive. I have a lot of old video cassettes and from time to time I convert one of them to DVD to play on my PC. Let me take old movies with me on my trip and watch them on TV at the hotel.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

We really liked this product. My husband converted 30 year old home movies of the kids when they were little to DVD and then uploaded them to Dropbox. This Christmas each of our eight children will receive a USB stick with all of their skits, fun songs and fun memories in a format that they will enjoy for years to come. But don't tell anyone; it's a secret!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

It did a decent job for the refurbished car

In general we are happy with the car. It didn't record from VHS to DVD as hoped, but it worked fine for almost a year. It only had a 90 day guarantee and we went much further. We've had enough for a year. We're starting to have problems with him, so I don't know how long that will last. If we had to do it all over again we would just get a DVD/VHS combo player and not pay more for the recording ability. We use this car a lot so I think we got our money's worth.

  • Brings joy

Simple transfer (dub) from old VHS cassettes to DVD

The equipment is OK. Easily copy (duplicate) old VHS tapes to DVD. but the only way to cut, split scenes is in VR mode and it works fine. The problem is that VR mode is unreadable on other DVD players. how. The edited versions have restrictions on where they can be played. Another important point is the quality of the old tapes. Some needed repairs and others had tracking issues. But that has nothing to do with the hardware. resumption. It is GREAT for dubbing VHS tapes to DVD without editing…

Pros
  • That's amazing
Cons
  • Doesn't all fit

REVIEW PART I - Works great - I've been able to burn almost all my VHS tapes to DVD. Videocassettes from 30 years ago were already deteriorating. I burned straight to DVD, didn't spend time editing. PART II REVIEW - For some reason I can't play VHS tapes anymore - bad picture, no picture or snow. If I fast forward the tape and press the play button, I see the image. but if I don't go to play anything. I'm sure there is a reason but I can't figure it out and I'm very upset. Bought head cleaner…

Cannot record with LG TV

This is an extension of the short question posted above. My unit plays both DVDs and VCRs well. no problem. I can't seem to get it to record from my LG TV (via HDMI) to VCR or DVD. I downloaded the user manual in .pdf format and am following it, but I can't write anything down. Any suggestions (please answer the question box above)? Update September 2018 I solved my VCR recording problem by connecting an RCA cable (red, white, yellow) from my DVR to the Sanyo IN jacks. By switching my TV to the
