Description of Sassy 80804 Sushi Sorter Multi

Designed to look like a Jack, this baby Jack has tons of activity to discover. From about 6 months allow baby to engage with the sushi shapes. Baby will use their sense of touch to explore the textures and forms. Name the colors of each shape to baby. Repetition will help them to understand the object or color name Association. As baby matures, help them line the sushi's up in a row. This activity is the first step in understanding principles of Engineering and building. Show baby that there are 2 of each shape, group the like shapes together and describe to baby. As baby becomes comfortable with discovering the properties of each shape, show them how to put the shapes into their corresponding holes in the top of the sorter. Once baby has mastered this skill, demonstrate the color match. "Put the purple square sushi piece in the purple square" And so on. Make up your own games and have fun!.

Adorable and great for a 1 year old

My 1 year old loves this. For some reason it doesn't bother to fit shapes into the top of the sorter. He just takes the lid off, but he will sit down and just take the sushi out and put it back in one at a time. I have no idea why he likes doing this with that particular toy, but he does. He has other shape sorters that he actually uses as sorters, but maybe he just loves sushi 😂

Pros
  • Once baby has mastered this skill, demonstrate color matching. "Place the purple square piece of sushi in the purple square" and so on. Design your own games and have fun!
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for senior

Ideal for hardwood/tile floors

This product is great! My 6 month old loved watching it roll on the kitchen tiles and the popping balls work perfectly. Only criticism is that it doesn't roll on the carpet. We have carpet in the living room and all bedrooms. So if we don't play with this toy in the kitchen, my kid won't be able to enjoy its functions. Obviously everything rolls better on harder floors like tile/wood so I don't see this as a product/design flaw as users should take that into account. I would still recommend…

Pros
  • This little jack is shaped like a jack and can do many things
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet

As described, but not for carpet

I haven't had the packaging issues that some others have mentioned. It came not only in a plastic bag but in a branded box tied to the package just like you would expect on a store shelf. Colors correspond to photos. The colorful contrasting colors all around make it as colorful as the other toys in the toy box. Novice parents have no security concerns. There are no sharp edges or rough plastic parts anywhere, the wheels are securely attached and there is not the slightest possibility of…

Pros
  • As your child grows, help them arrange the sushi. This activity is the first step in understanding engineering and construction principles. Show baby that there are 2 of each shape, group the same shapes together and describe to baby.
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

PERFECT BOY TOY is my son's favorite toy

I never write product reviews but I do take the time for this PERFECT toy. I wanted my son's first car and had a choice between this and Kid o Car. Since he was about 7 months old I didn't want to take anything too small (like Matchbox cars) that could potentially pose a choking hazard, or more importantly (haha) that I would always take out from under the furniture. Also, I didn't want anything too big for his little glove. This softball sized machine is PERFECT for him. It's about the size of

Pros
  • When your child gets used to learning the characteristics of each shape, show him how to insert the shapes into the corresponding holes on the top of the sorter.
Cons
  • boring packaging
