Replacement parts are hard to come by these days. The lamp socket fails, you have to buy a new expensive lamp. If the device is still beautiful, why not just fix what's no longer working? I'm glad these little rosettes (and other parts) are often available from Revain!).

Purchased to replace the socket in the ceiling light. The bushing is OK, but the circlip is worn and the bushing is loose. Wonder of wonders, the ring fitted the old outlet perfectly so I didn't have to go through the hassle of unplugging, turning off the light, replacing the entire outlet and putting everything back in place. Five stars for convenience!

The top ring that bolts on is awful. It clicks right through half the threads and eventually starts, about 1/4 inch screwing it in from the bottom. This is probably fine if you're installing on thin stock, but if you're using wood over 1/4" thick. ", I'd find something with better threads. I would return them if shipping didn't cost as much as they cost. So my plan is to just keep them for another project or maybe find a better ring :(
