Not Worth the Investment

Based on our own experience with this product, we found it extremely disappointing. Although marketed as an ideal lighting component for industrial and scientific purposes, it failed to deliver on its promises. The only pro we could attribute to it was its frosted finish, which helped to diffuse the harshness of the light. However, the cons far outweighed this single benefit. The product was overpriced, had a scant lifespan, and emitted an inadequate amount of light. Overall, we don't believe…

Pros
  • Generates bright and crisp white light
Cons
  • Operates at a higher temperature than LED bulbs, leading to higher energy consumption and greater risk of overheating

Excellent lightbulbs. Brighter than others 45W

I have tested SIX types of R20 incandescent and halogen bulbs and they seem to be the best. on the front of the lamp. As a true 45W halogen bulb, they are significantly brighter than a 45W incandescent bulb. They are rated at 560 lumens compared to others with around 380 lumens of the same output. These lamps are about as bright as a 65W incandescent lamp. For comparison there is a Philips halogen bulb #456961 which uses 35W and is marked as a '45W spare'. don't take her They work but have ugly

Pros
  • Dimmable
Cons
  • There are new competitors
