🌅 Satco S9579 Transparent Amber Medium: Enhancing Ambiance with Stylish Lighting Review

I needed a bulb of this shape for the fixture I needed but it was expensive. It's the right shape, but the 60-watt equivalent is closer to the 45-watt equivalent.

The lamp is still fairly bright even at the lowest dimmer setting. At high brightness it's not as bright as the 60w halogen it replaced. And the light buzzes high at times even though we have an approved Luton dimmer. Keep searching...

I trusted the good reviews but I was wrong. Some didn't even work right out of the box, had to be replaced and have been running for months now and randomly glowing inconsistent brightness levels, some of them very dim which makes no sense.

I have bought many of these bulbs over the years. They don't last very long, but what's even more frustrating is that the last one I bought didn't work right away and was past the return date. I will consider other brands elsewhere if I order more of these lamps.

These bulbs are rubbish - there is no other word to accurately describe them. I bought three lamps of a very similar previous model from this company. One of them failed within a year, the other in less than two years. I bought two new ones and installed them. One of the spare parts failed after four days. Very disappointing, especially considering the high price.

I remember when we put the first bulb in the matching pendant lights it was hard to find the right bulb. Since one of those bulbs had burned out, I had to look around for a new bulb. The old ones weren't sold anywhere else and I decided to switch to LED. They are fantastic, a little brighter, sharper, look great. Have them on an LED dimmer that works great with them. One of the best LED bulbs I've ever bought.

For safety reasons, we leave the light on all night. I have a dimmer because I've been using halogen bulbs and wanted to save some energy by dimming about 1/3. I installed 4 new expensive street lights and wanted to switch to LED but my wife HATES the color of LED bulbs and I have to admit that most LED bulbs I've tried are absolutely NOT compared to halogens. However, they are impressive! They look just as good as the halogens they replaced and the power consumption is a fraction of what I had
