Review on 🌅 Satco S9579 Transparent Amber Medium: Enhancing Ambiance with Stylish Lighting by Chris Wyffels

For safety reasons, we leave the light on all night. I have a dimmer because I've been using halogen bulbs and wanted to save some energy by dimming about 1/3. I installed 4 new expensive street lights and wanted to switch to LED but my wife HATES the color of LED bulbs and I have to admit that most LED bulbs I've tried are absolutely NOT compared to halogens. However, they are impressive! They look just as good as the halogens they replaced and the power consumption is a fraction of what I had before. As I said, I ordered 4 lamps and installed them all. One died within 24 hours, but Satco replaced him with no problem. I've had them for about a year now and they are RELIABLE. We run them about 10 hours a day without dimming and never flickered. We've had lightning strikes, blackouts, and blackouts, but that wasn't a problem. I just can't say enough good things about her. If you HATE the look of most LED bulbs, this bulb is for you! -- TO EDIT. I've just seen other reviews so I'll add some info on a fancy lamp. The bug matched very well with one of the other descriptions here. You could just say something is wrong. The "threads" just didn't look right and seemed to flicker on and off with different amounts appearing to be active. The next morning the light went out completely. I'm assuming electronics and ICs are the focus based on all the other LEDs I've looked at and like all electronics they overwhelmingly tend to fail very early or not at all. Companies used to do 48-60 hour cautery tests on their products as that would eliminate 99% of failures, but I think it's cheaper these days to replace the parts under warranty when they fail. Regardless, I emailed SATCO describing the problem and asking how I could get a replacement under warranty. At first I thought they were scamming me because I didn't get an answer. I was about to email them again when a replacement bulb came out! I suppose an email reply would have been nice but a hassle free replacement was really nice and unexpected. Next update in at least 2+ years. The 4 outer lights are still on. No questions. About a year ago I bought 4 more for the master bedroom ceiling fan. About 6 months later one of my lightbulbs failed. They swapped it back with no problem. The exchange lasted about 3 months and he also died the same way. Sure, it's a little annoying, but I'm still impressed with its looks and light color. Emailing Satco again for a replacement but based on past experience I don't expect any issues. I really wish they could improve reliability a bit, but it seems like the longer they run without initial failures, the longer they will last. And one more update. 5 years ago on external light bulbs. All bulbs still work and look good. I received a replacement fan bulb with no issues and no further issues or failures.
