These are GREAT shoes but with great shoes comes the strength of the materials. My 6 year old has a hard time putting them on. I liked the look of the shoes, the colors are bright and eye-catching. I ordered a large child size 5.5 and it was too small. My son wears a width of 5.5 or 6, depending on the shoe. Saucony is one of the few brands that offer children's shoes with a wide width. If your child is between sizes, I would recommend ordering this particular shoe up a size. I'm a huge Saucony fan and bought these for myself and was very happy with the fit and durability. I had to send them back so I can't confirm the
