Best running shoes

I've had this shoe for 30 years. The price is good and if you are a neutral runner they are perfect. Run races in them from 5 km to the marathon. Have tried others but keep coming back to this.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Seniors

Great shoes since 1991!

I've been running in these classic Saucony shoes for decades (started well with the original Shadow in the 80's and then the 6000's in the early 90's). I run rough, hilly trails and this is the most stable shoe I've ever used and I've tried others on occasion and sprained my ankle twice in the first few days with two. I run year round and these shoes do well in the snow although I use spikes as the trails get ice patches regularly. Worth a try.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Neutral

Great shoes for the price

I have bought over 20 pairs of Shadow 6000s since they were introduced about 15 years ago. I run at a decent pace and run about 400 miles on each pair. They never caused injury or pain. And I've tried a couple of shoes worth over $100 and I keep coming back to the Shadows. Hope they continue!

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Minor issues

Rigid, no cushioning - shoes

Rigid sole. Definitely not original, but we know it. I just expected a slightly better cushioning effect. There are almost no concessions in them. However, not everything is bad. They look like the original, so that's good. Another thing that isn't very good is the stiffness of the sides. I don't know how to describe it, but it's like putting your foot in a box instead of a nice, comfortable shoe. When the shoes are on everything is fine, but I definitely wore more comfortable sneakers. If I…

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • For pensioners

Original Shadow 6000 (almost)

This is very, very close to the 'real' Shadow 6000, unlike some other shoes claiming to be Shadow 6000s. while the women's 6000 has violet decorations. However, the purple 6000 sold here is also a real men's size. If you're looking for a pair of women's 6000 sneakers, you'll need to find a similar men's size (about 1 1/2 sizes smaller). upper, sole. Midsole and insole like original. However, these shoes are made in Vietnam while the originals are made in China. The materials and pads may have…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging

  • Questionable buy for seniors
