I decided to try these because there are no other carbonated beverage closures that retain the carbonation. I sometimes like root beer from carbonated beverage companies. standard glass bottles. They slide up and don't seem to do much to prevent fizzing out. In fact, they don't seem tight enough to stop a leak if the bottle is tipped over. They may be slow, but they seem almost free. I gave them two stars because I read they don't work for that, so it looks like they lied about using them.

I bought these for the exact application they were made for, to effectively cover the lid of the beer bottle. I put it on top of a beer bottle after washing it first, made sure it fit snugly, and put it back in the fridge. When I opened the fridge the next morning, I noticed that the rubber cap was no longer on the bottle. I looked around and finally found it on one of the lower shelves, where it must have ended up after the bottle shot. My guess is that the carbonation was too strong for the…
