Unpleasant Smell That Lingers

After I put it to the test, I was disappointed with the overall fragrance of this beard oil. The scent was quite off-putting and didn't match the description at all.

Smells like cloves: beard and mustache care

I like the functionality of the oil. Good consistency and as a frequent traveler I really like the plastic bottle with dispenser. What I don't like is the smell. It doesn't smell like "Bay Rum" at all to me. All I feel when I use it is clove. So if you buy, don't be surprised.

I can't get past the smell.

First of all I'm sure this product works just as well as any other beard oil, especially if the ingredients on the packaging are correct. The only problem I really have with this product is the smell. I've used other bay rum flavors and they have a bit of a sweet spice flavor. It has a medicinal smell. To be honest it reminds me of the smell of a chlorseptic throat spray. I'm not sure if it's because the flavors of some ingredients don't mix well with what they use for seasoning or whatever…
