First of all I'm sure this product works just as well as any other beard oil, especially if the ingredients on the packaging are correct. The only problem I really have with this product is the smell. I've used other bay rum flavors and they have a bit of a sweet spice flavor. It has a medicinal smell. To be honest it reminds me of the smell of a chlorseptic throat spray. I'm not sure if it's because the flavors of some ingredients don't mix well with what they use for seasoning or whatever, but I can't get over that smell for a long time after applying. . I will say that I think it is beautifully packaged and I love that they chose to use a pump attachment to dispense the product. If I came across an unscented bottle I'd try again, but I'll probably just stick with what I like.
