Appearance of wood, ease of cleaning of plastic

I really wanted a wood soap dish, but the reviews of most were bad. This dish looks like wood but will not mildew or rot and can easily be opened up to clean the soap scum off it thoroughly.

  • Doesn't have a lid to keep soap protected and clean

Love this soap dish!

Plastic. Durable. Fits nicely together. Very cleanable.Looks like wood but doesn’t swell and stick like wood.I like that the soap doesn’t stick to it like the soap dishes that have just the separate lifter.It looks really good on my white ikea counter.

After finding out the "wood' was plastic I was not sure what to expect. But it actually looks pretty decent and the soap does not get soft and messy.

Not real wood - my new review

Looks like wood but it’s not, sadly. I don’t think it’s worth the money to be honest since it’s not very durable or high quality. The wood effect does look convincing but it’s very thin plastic.

Pros
  • Small enough to put around sink. It’s plastic so it’s easy to clean.
Cons
  • Can cause soap to deteriorate faster due to constant exposure to air and moisture

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PIC - Really Cheap Looking

The actual product is much cheaper looking than the picture in the listing. I would have returned it but after postage I would only net .99 cents. I threw it away instead. I'll be much more discerning going forward!
