I bought these lamps for use in a Himalayan salt lamp. The size is perfect and the color warmth of the light is significantly better than the previous lamp. I HOWEVER chose these bulbs as they are advertised as "dimmable". Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case. In my dimmable lamp they only work as an on/off switch. However, these bulbs are a pretty good deal, especially if the dimming feature isn't a concern for you.

Bulb and wattage are hard to find unless you order a genuine Scentsy bulb. It fits perfectly (although slightly shorter than the original). Slight heating of wax. Didn't he live long enough to speak of his longevity? Other chain store bulbs are too big for these pots, so don't waste your money on them even if the wattage is right. Now I have enough bulbs to last quite a while and it's a lot cheaper than buying one at a time.

I bought this to use in my large cake warmer but it's not powerful enough to completely melt the whole cake. I considered switching to 25 watts but didn't want to burn the wax too quickly. This is the only reason to go to 20 watts. It only heats the center of the wax leaving a hard wax around the edges. I might be saving more wax than I burn, so that might be a good thing. I won't know until I try a 25 watt heater. Otherwise the bulbs worked perfectly and were very expensive.

These bulbs are perfect for my medium sized scented heating pad. Some of the larger heaters require a 40w bulb. So if you're not sure how many watts your heater needs, you should go to the website and find your heater, or one that's as close to its size as possible, and they'll tell you what you need to know.
