The piercing became red and swollen

My ears are not particularly sensitive. I put one of these earrings in my straight helix piercing for just one day (not to mention the caliber is slightly larger than other 14g earrings I've used in the past) and my ear became swollen, red and very painful. Very disappointed because these are cute earrings and a good price. Be careful!
