👖 Schmetz 4.0/100 Double Denim/Jeans Machine Needle, 1ct Review

This needle is not strong enough to sew denim. It doesn't seem any stronger than my usual twin needle of this size. I did a few rows of double stitches before even attempting to pull the ends of the threads out by bending one of the needles a bit! Definitely not worth the money.

I use this needle for hemming jeans. I've had the needle for 3 months and have used it on 3 pairs of jeans. Denim needles feel sharper and stronger than utility needles, so I always use them when sewing jeans or other thick, heavy fabrics. I love the professional look of the two stitches this needle creates. No one will notice my jeans were hemmed at home!

Fits my brother perfectly and works great. My machine came with a double needle but the needles were too close together so I ordered this for a wider double stitch. Works perfectly! Of course, the needles aren't heavy, so I have to be careful with thicker fabrics like jean seams, but I have to do the same with a single needle. If there is a reinforced version of this two needle set, I will order it.
