Needle of your choice

I used to buy some organ needles that honestly looked like fakes. I had nothing but trouble with them. (Previous organ needles were fine, but the ones I'm talking about looked and acted like fakes.) I've had no problems with Schmetz needles, so I'll be choosing their brand from now on.

Pros
  • 5 packs of needles. Each pack contains 5 needles, total 25 needles.
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

High quality needles

I have a 10 needle embroidery machine and I love the Schmetz needles. You sew well. The color coding is very convenient. With my regular sewing machine, I sometimes forget to put tape on the machine to remind me what needle is in the machine. Schmetz needles are color coded so I can always identify the type and size of needle in my sewing machine. There are other good needles out there but I prefer Schmetz needles because of the color coding.

Pros
  • Suitable for all "household" models from Brother, Janome, Singer, Pfaff, Bernina, Viking, Elna, Kenmore, Baby Lock, Simplicity, Necchi, White and many more.
Cons
  • So far so good

2 out of 5 stars

I'm rating these needles 2 out of 5 stars because so many needles in a pack are enough for an embroidery project. I have 1 pack of these needles left and am seriously considering just throwing them away and buying more. Breaking a needle while embroidering is quite risky, nobody wants to start over or mess up a project. Not to mention, what could be more fun than having two needles hanging around while sewing? I'm not a fan. Better luck with other needles. I should have left the package andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • For use with rayon and other specialty machine embroidery threads, including polyester
Cons
  • Discontinued
