This item is exactly as described and will definitely perform as intended. However, my locks and chain will be very difficult to cut compared to this shackle, so this is definitely the weakest link in the system. I'll probably make one out of thicker, harder steel and throw that in the scrap yard, but I needed something really quick and it was better than nothing.

Glad I looked. I didn't realize it was a necessary product to tie the cooler to something so it can't be stolen. It works great with the Yeti 65 and matches a decent sized chain. It would be nice if the hole was bigger so an even bigger cable or chain could be inserted in it. With a $400+/- cooler, I need all the security I can get. It's still a great product and I highly recommend it.

I love that this product is made in America! This mount is very strong and fits my Yeti Tundra cooler perfectly. This made it very easy for me to attach a bike cable and block my cooler from rolling off someone in the middle of the night while camping. Can you still get there with bolt cutters? Of course. But does it offer additional protection? Absolutely!

I kept forgetting to order one of these mounts for my Yeti 65 that I've had for a number of years but I finally remembered I ordered this bad guy a few weeks ago. The mount arrived satisfactorily packaged a few days after ordering and from the moment I took it out of the box I knew I had made the right decision.
