I love the look of these scissors but unfortunately I've only had them about 2 weeks and my elementary school students have already had half of their scissors broken. We have another brand of scissors in our class and they hold up great, but something about their construction makes them brittle and break easily. Disappointed that we were only going to use them for two weeks, especially since they weren't used for heavy projects.

My son keeps losing scissors so I thought I'd be wiser and buy a whole box. Bad idea. They are inferior to the Fiskars I usually buy. Pros: You get 12 scissors for just over $1 a pair. They are suitable for preschoolers who are just learning to use scissors. CONS: If you have used other Fiskars scissors, they are not of the same quality. Thumb and finger holes are smaller. They just don't cut. My 8 year old doesn't like using them.

I bought these scissors because the other Fiskars scissors I had were great. I am very disappointed in them. First, they are designed for very young children - the finger and thumb holes are too small for children over the age of five. They also feel fragile and very tight, requiring a lot of effort to open and close them. I was hoping they would loosen up after some use. But I found it wasn't happening enough for such small children to be able to use it comfortably. I returned them.
