decent quality. Worked on my 2007 Honda Fit.

Perfect for my 2007 Honda Fit. I connected the blue wire to a switched 12v source (usually the red wire) and it worked fine. Without 12V on the blue cable (I think it goes to the signal amplifier) the reception was more than bad.

Pros
  • Maintains AM/FM when installing a new stereo
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Description is not accurate. Definitely not suitable.

The description is incorrect. It definitely doesn't match the 14 Civic. I went to my local stereo shop and they told me Honda changed the plug in 2012. It now uses an "Acura style connector". Check the app at Scosche before purchasing.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Honda Odyssey 2005 Installed this antenna adapter between the head.

2005 Honda Odyssey. This antenna adapter is installed between the head unit and the original manufacturer's plug. It fits perfectly and is of sufficient length. Radio reception has been restored as expected. Strictly as an extra, prudent step, I wrapped the adapter cable in foam to ensure the cable didn't rattle in the dash.

Pros
  • Connects aftermarket stereo to factory car antenna cable.
Cons
  • Expensive

Description is wrong. It didn't affect my car, but it did do some damage.

Revain has a system that will tell you if an automotive product is suitable for your vehicle. In this case it was stated that this product was suitable for my 2013 Honda CR-Z. It's not like this. That's all I can say other than trying to connect it to an existing antenna cable. This is no ordinary electrical wire and is tricky at best and damaging at worst.

Pros
  • Antenna Adapter
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Direct Connect for 2011 Honda Element EX

This antenna adapter was a direct connect for 2011 Element EX. The Honda Element EX FM antenna is powered/amplified so you can receive radio stations from a distance. That's what the blue wire is for. I connected it to the antenna cable on my new JVC head unit and it worked. At first I thought this JVC cable was for a motorized up/down antenna, but it worked fine.

Pros
  • Direct connects to factory antenna without cutting wires
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Reception Problems: Antennas

I need to fix Christopher's reception problems. I'm having the same problems with mine. I also addressed the comment on the previous review regarding the blue cable and plugged it into an AC adapter and I still have reception that is much worse than factory reception. I'm rating this 3 stars because there's a chance my installation is causing the error, but I'm pretty sure it's installed as it should be.

Pros
  • Fits Honda 2005+
Cons
  • Lots of things

Works fine, but it would be nice if the .

Works fine but it would be nice if you could tell what the blue wire is for. I've searched the internet and haven't come up with any results. Various theories circulate and various measures are prescribed, but it seems that people generally do not understand anything about the blue wire. (I ended up not plugging it into anything and my radio seems to be working fine. I don't know if I did what I should have done.)

Pros
  • Reverse adapter style
Cons
  • Protection

Antenna Overview: Audio and Video Accessories

I've read a lot on the internet about this project and people consistently have poor or no reception in their cars. Most people said it was inevitable. For me it was the same. I even soldered the blue wire to the blue amp control wire and the signal was mediocre at best. From what I've read, over 60% of people face the same problem, so I don't know why this problem hasn't been solved. I am very upset about this and think the manufacturer should address this issue.

Pros
  • Manufactured with factory quality wires and connectors
Cons
  • Some minor things
