Good addition to car antennas

I don't know why on earth GM used mini antenna plugs instead of regular plugs. I bought this item to have the factory antenna go into the adapter then plug it into the squelch and then plug the output from that into the second adapter so it goes into the factory radio. They work great and are easy to install.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Adapters are perfect for my 2003 Chevy 2500HD

Perfect for adapting a GM antenna to and from a "standard" antenna connector. Used with an optional FM module to get a much better signal and sound than any FM transmitter type adapter. No interference using these adapters. Of course, you can also use them to mount aftermarket antennas and other "built-in" devices. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add

Works with Pontiac Vibe

Nothing indicates Vibe compatibility. I wasn't sure if the Toyota Matrix adapter would fit. It worked as intended and had no problems installing my direct input transmitter. They're a little longer than I thought they would be, which has both pros and cons. Easier to use but harder to save an item on a dashboard. Good solid construction. The plugs hold well on all parts of the devices.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Repair

When I added a permanent MP3/iPod FM transmitter to my 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, I didn't realize until I tore up the dash that two adapters would be required for the installation - one adapter and one that which comes from the smaller than the universal antenna connector found on GM vehicles. This adapter kit saved my setup and doesn't seem to decrease the performance or quality of the audio being sent through the FM transmitter.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Doubtful

Set and Forget Best in Automotive and Automotive Electronics

I need this adapter for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS to install an FM modulator/AUX port (iPod, MP3 player, phone etc.) which is not standard on this model. There are two adapters in the box - one for the antenna input, the second for the antenna output. It worked right out of the box, bridging the gap between the modulator cables and my car stereo/antenna. It seems that GM has chosen to ignore the standard antenna connector that almost every automaker and car hifi manufacturer around the world…

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Negative Present
