cheered. for computers and accessories

It cost me a 6 TB hard drive. Be sure to do a pull test and check that the cable is firmly seated in the connector. A short circuit will cause your hard drive to catch fire and smoke.

Check before use, otherwise everything is fine.

PRO: Pack of two. The second worked great. CONS: The first caught fire in the hull. Electrical fires are bad. I was able to turn off the power before other components or cables were damaged. All other adapters outside the case have been tested before use. Follow-up: Revain replaced the element. Both adapters in the replacement set worked without any problems.

Pros
  • SATA cable
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Shutting down the drive. - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Sometimes removing an external drive to convert it to an internal SATA drive results in the drive not turning on. Use this as a Molex to SATA power connector (adapter?) and the drive will "spin".

Pros
  • Computer and Accessories
Cons
  • Minor Repairability
