The case fits well, has a matte finish and lives up to expectations. The screen protector was a nice plus - most don't have one. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the keyboard cover was pretty ridiculous - a milky color that lay loose on the keys giving a "dirty" look. It also felt sticky, which made typing uncomfortable. Despite the keyboard cover, I would definitely buy another one.

The case itself is very cute! Very durable. Although I have two complaints. There are bubbles on the front and back of the fabric. Not exactly smooth and just plain annoying. As well as the straps that hold it in place are pretty cheap as they are plastic. But it also seems like it's made for a larger computer, although I ordered the right size because the straps on the bottom don't fit very well.

This was very similar to another bookshelf I had previously for my 13" MacBook Pro (2015) that lasted a year and a half before the elastic lost its ability to hold the MacBook Pro shut hold space. This one was a lot cheaper. It fits the case well and I liked the look. But a month after I started using it, the zipper got stuck when I opened it. My husband bought this suitcase against my will. The sleeve itself is well made, but one day I accidentally dropped the laptop while it was open and one of the clear plastics in the corner came loose from the seam, leaving it barely working now. It also doesn't help much to keep the laptop clean. So if you like to eat while sitting at your laptop, you might want to clean the case often as food gets stuck underneath. I give him props for the zip feature.

The transparent rubber bands on the top corner broke after a month of normal use. My 2015 MacBook Pro with Retina display is slightly smaller for this case, so it keeps slipping out of the strap. I like the look, but the functionality is not up to date.

I got this in 2016 I think that's why it's been on my computer for 3 years now. I never take it off my computer and get tons of compliments. It's a little worn around what the spine should be, but honestly it gives it character because it's meant to look like it's in an old book. I've had it for over a year and it has a small tear on the bottom (nothing to do with the quality, my fault alone) but so far it fits and holds up great. Very good product. I've never used a screen protector before, but I always use a wooden case and keyboard cover. Note that the MacBook breathes through the keyboard.
