Ideal for your aquarium.

If you have an aquarium with plants, you should take care of the plants as well as the fish. It does exactly that. My plants came to me with yellowed leaves, with the addition of water they grew healthy and fast.

Looks like I tossed the glitter in the tank

This iron supplement contains a ton of solid particles, including metal flakes. Looks like I threw some glitter in my tank. I think I should wait for the filter to do its job. My main concern is my fish. 2 stars so far. Will update the rating later

Revain Sword makes the leaves turn red again!

I used this to supplement my fertilizing regimen for my Revain Swords. I had no idea these plants use iron to turn their leaves so red! Not all types of swords are red, but the one I have is beautiful now! I use Flourish Tabs, Trace, Iron and Excel. This combination is great for my aquarium.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Only available in black

Noticeable difference

I have chain store Amazon swords. Not always the best quality but the price was too good to pass up. There was a noticeable discoloration that couldn't be due to being in a new tank as time had passed. I started using this in combination with some DIY root tabs and wow! I have strong plants that produce new leaves quite often. Seachem is the gold standard.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Problem

Iron= Green - Aquarium water treatment

? or iron? Or does blood smell of iron? My Amazonian sword was yellowing from blade to vein. but the veins remained green. Usually this is a sign of iron deficiency in the water (maybe nitrogen) so I added cans of iron. I also have a zero nitrate score from the API core set (yes, I shake #2 like crazy) and from the Marineland test. stripes. so my plants take most of the nitrate out of the water, that could be the cause anyway. The iron has made my tank greener and I don't have to use it much.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Does something still smell of blood

Another good Seachem product

Iron supplement for your plants. Red plants generally require more iron than most green plants. This is a liquid supplement that should be added weekly or after water changes. There are instructions for use on the label, but I wish they were simplified like Aquarium Coop's Easy Green range where they have a 10 gallon pump head per pump. Anything that requires some guesswork is a win for me. Because I prefer this product to this one, it only gets 4 stars. Seachem Prime is a solid 5/5 so don't…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • I won't say anything
