Yes, so the cable length has to be listed somewhere in the description of this product. I thought it would be a direct replacement for my drive cable when it first came up when searching, but found it to only be about a foot long, which isn't enough.

I thought it would be wise of me to slow down and back up as we are in the middle of Mercury retrograde when the electronics are known to fail. This spare cable is just what I needed for a successful backup during this crazy space age.

I was having trouble with my WD Mypassport portable external hard drive, which suddenly appeared on my laptop. The light was on, but the computer no longer recognized the USB port. I bought this micro usb cable from Revain and it worked great! I thought I had lost all my data on my WD Passport but thanks to this excellent cable I was able to safely back up all my data.

The only good thing about this cable is the cost but as I'll probably have to order another even that's not great. It doesn't fit properly and keeps turning off even if you don't touch it. I take a lot of pictures and am constantly loading, editing and moving files from my camera, hard drive and computer. So when this shuts down, I often have to start the process all over again. I am not satisfied with this product and would not recommend it.
