An interesting alternative to the ubiquitous Sperry shoes.

Haven't worn them outside yet so consider this an unboxing rather than a review of comfort or durability. I've loved Sperry Makos for decades. Strong, attractive and for me they have a better sole than regular pumps because they are not as thin. Definitely important if you don't walk on a slippery deck! Durable, versatile and comfortable enough to take on a long journey, walk across Paris during the day and wear with casual nightwear. Unfortunately, for some very odd reason, Sperry didn't suit…

Pros
  • Love savers and wear them for decades. Great style and comfort, they make a great addition to nautical and coastal wear.
Cons
  • Shoes cannot withstand daily wear and tear, which may result in punctures and other damage.

My medium brown Sebago Clovehitch II fits like a glove

My Sebago Clovehitch II Medium Brown fits like a glove. Size 11.5W. The left schooner boot was nearly 0.5 inches longer than the Clovehitch II.

Pros
  • Slightly darker than I prefer but overall the shoe fits perfectly and is very comfortable from day one!
Cons
  • Shoes must not be slippery, which increases the risk of falling and injury.

Excellent as usual! on shoes

This is my second pair of Sebago shoes. First pair worn so many times in 5 years it was time for a new pair. The old ones still work today, they just needed something better. What can I say, I love Sebagos. i live in them In fact, I was so smitten that I also bought black classic Sebago loafers and I will be buying boots this winter. I live in Atlanta so these are mostly just casual shoes, but they are so comfortable I would wear them anywhere, anytime. Looks great with shorts, jeans or khakis.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Good overall not brilliant

Overall I like these shoes but there are a few things that confuse me: scratch/scratch them. Refinement of shoes that leave ugly marks. - The inside of the shoe isn't that nice barefoot (that's how I wear these kind of shoes) - The comfort isn't bad, but it's not great either. They look very nice, the sole looks like it will last a long time, the materials and build quality are good. I usually wear 13 or 13W and the size I ordered (12WW) fits (a bit thin but ok).

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
