Total waste of money

Total waste of money. They are not heavy enough for a "light truck". The pickup is a "light truck" and they broke almost immediately on my Dodge 2500. Others have reported similar chains breaking or falling apart where the cross chain connects to the side chain. I broke three of them the last time I removed them. I've never driven faster than 20 km/h and rode it for about an hour. When they broke, they severely damaged the truck's fender. Previous experiences with conventional twisted chains…

  • There are other interesting options.

While you can get a bad item with any product, the negative reviews seem to focus on buying the wrong size or not being able to attach chains to the property. I can't talk about the latter here, but the video explains how to find the right size to order online. It is much safer to create your order based on the tire size rather than the make, model and year of your car as with used cars someone may have…

They provide more traction when clearing snow - no question!

I put these chains on my 1998 bladed K1500. Now the truck is used strictly as a yard plow so I don't have to remove the tracks. If you want to increase traction when plowing, mount snow chains! I have them in the back and they make a big difference. I still have weight behind the axle that acts as ballast, but I don't think the weight is needed for traction. You have to be a little more careful as these things bite and you don't want to turn them if you can help. I broke a couple of horizontal…
