🌊 Seiko Genuine Original Rubber Divers Watch Band Review

I was delighted to have this new strap for my Sekio Divers watch. I am sentimental about my watch because I have owned it for 26 years and it has served me well during my six and a half years in the Marines. The original strap broke and I've bought a fake in the past that didn't last long. I was happy to get the original tape back and plan to buy another one from this seller soon as a backup should this new tape wear out.

I ordered this item thinking it would be an exact replacement for my Seiko Prospex dive watch. This item wasn't exactly, much cheaper, made of thinner material. I wouldn't buy it again, not to mention it wasn't cheap. I think it's original. Doesn't look as good as the original.

Looks like a Seiko strap overall, has the same wave logo and basically the same shape and thickness, but the clasp is very flimsy and a cheap replacement. Also inside is the Chinese logo. If this is a true Seiko group, then Seiko will definitely drop the standards. I kept the original clasp from the last Seiko group, replaced it and it helps. I have a tool you will need. Pretty easy and quick, and if you want you can save 50% off the price.

This is not an exact replica of the original Seiko watch strap BUT if you don't mind, it is actually better than the original. This is the third strap that I have replaced on this excellent classic watch. Even if I don't wear it for weeks, after a few years in the drawer, one day it literally rips when I put it on. But I really wanted the original, so this one is just perfect. It's significantly longer than the original, which is an advantage for some when wearing it over a wetsuit.

Leaked replacement straps are not bad. The buckle looks cheap but I removed the buckle from my old strap and put this on. I think I did the same with the last group. I may still have the original buckle. The band feels good and is the right size. I love this old watch and it's good to be able to use it again.

I ordered this watch strap a few months ago to replace the strap that was starting to peel off and fall apart. This fitted perfectly and was exactly the same as the original strap that came with the watch. I've had a Seiko dive watch for 18 years and wear it every day, so having a great strap is important to me. I found these Seiko rubber straps to be very comfortable to wear, but they only last about 3 years with daily military use. I will order this particular group again when the time comes.
